What is Rugby?:

Rugby is a mixture of Soccer and Football (football developed from rugby in the early 1900s).
About 8 & Under Co-Ed Rugby:
Touch rugby, with introduction to safe tackling techniques as the season progresses
Passing, catching, and running with the ball
Matches: Two 15-minute halves, 7 players/side, up to 60 minutes play time per day
About 10 & Under Co-Ed Rugby:
Developmental safe tackling; introduction to scrums and lineouts
Passing, catching, and running with the ball
Matches: Two 20-minute halves, 10 players/side, up to 70 minutes play time per day
About 12 & Under Co-Ed Rugby:
Safe tackling; introduction to kicking: Punting, drop kicks, goal kicks (extra point conversions)
Matches: Two 25-minute halves, 12 players/side, up to 80 minutes play time per day
About 14 & Under Boys & Girls Rugby:
Matches: Two 30-minute halves, 12 players/side, up to 90 minutes play time per day
There aren’t many other girls’ teams in Georgia to play, so 14U girls matches will be supplemented by opportunities for 14U girls to play alongside 12U or 14U co-ed teammates (age level to be determined primarily with consideration to our girls’ safety and abilities)
About High School Rugby:
We are currently recruiting players and coaches to launch High School rugby in Fall 2025 for the 2025-2026 season. Interested players are welcome to join us now to start learning the sport!
